Press conference held in Podgorica this Thursday
A press conference in anticipation of the second edition of the Rubix Festival, which will be held this summer from August 8th to 10th in Porto Montenegro, was held this Thursday in Podgorica. This festival represents a fusion of art, music, technology, and theater, and was created in collaboration between Porto Montenegro and the organization “Fešta”.
The conference was an opportunity to announce a rich and high-quality program for this year’s edition, which builds on the great successes achieved by the first edition of Rubix last year.
“We wanted to offer our citizens, as well as guests from all over the world, a new genre of festival. Last year’s festival had a significant impact; we had several thousand people attending each of the three nights. We wanted to organize Rubix in August this year to mark that month with a seriously good program for Porto Montenegro, Tivat, and the whole of Montenegro. I believe we proved ourselves last year as one of the most serious production festivals in this part of the world. We don’t plan to scale that back; this year, you can expect even better and more extensive programs,” stated Danilo Kalezić, PR Manager of Porto Montenegro
Newest edition of the festival
The new edition of the festival will be made even more spectacular by the big stars who will perform in Porto Montenegro in August, an even larger number of participants, and a spectacular finale that is purposefully set for Saturday night.
“This year’s festival will open with the famous Italian actress and model, Isabella Rossellini. She will perform her monodrama “Darwin’s Smile” on the Synchro stage, which creatively combines art and science, portraying the relationship between humans and animals through this performance. On the first day, for all opera and classical music fans, there will be a premiere joint performance by the famous opera singer Petra Radulović, who has been building her career in Vienna for a long time, and the New Era Quartet – a string quartet of four wonderful ladies. The five of them together will create a paradise for all lovers of opera and classical music. We have also prepared something completely new that people in Montenegro have not had the chance to hear yet: David August – a renowned pianist and composer who will perform a piece with audio-visual effects that will create a spectacle on stage,” announced Varvara Petrović, the festival’s PR manager.
David August, Nouvelle Vague, Crazy P. and many others
On the second day of the festival, August 9th, the main performance will be by the famous French band “Nouvelle Vague”, followed by Crazy P, performing disco music combined with electronic sounds.
“The third night of the festival is dedicated to electronic music, with the star of the evening being Hernan Cattaneo, known as “El Maestro”, an Argentine DJ sensation recognized worldwide. Also performing that night will be our renowned DJ and producer Novak (notsoserious), and we will reveal more names later,” added Petrović.
Press conference conference was enhanced by a video message from Marc Collin, a member of the group “Nouvelle Vague”.
“I am very happy that we will soon be coming to Tivat and performing at the Rubix Festival. We are bringing a completely new show with two new singers and will perform almost the entire album and half of the new album,” announced Colin.
