Key Aspects of the Role:
- Contribute to the development of the 10-Year investment plan, as well as updating key assumptions regularly;
- Develop investment strategies aligned with estate development goals;
- Support operational needs and infrastructure programs impacting investments;
- Support the preparation of Business Plans for approval;
- Conduct complex financial modelling for various asset types;
- Source detailed financial data and prepare papers for investment decisions;
- Report monthly actuals versus budget for individual investments (SPVs);
- Develop Investment Appraisals for Investor Committee approvals;
- Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, potential investors and lenders;
- Identify customer needs and tailor investment strategies accordingly;
- Monitor market trends and identify potential changes that could impact investment strategies;
- Offer market insights and investment advice to support company objectives, as requested;
- Contribute to due diligence efforts and legal document review;
- Collaborate on departmental strategies, aligning goals with other departments;
- Maintain updated policies, ensuring compliance with laws and company policies;
- Coordinate with the commercial team on understanding finance requirements and equity raise to funds/debt to banks;
- Foster teamwork and collaboration to maintain a positive work environment;
- Engage in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
They would love to hear from people with:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Engineering, or a similar field from a leading institution in the country of study;
- ACCA, CFA, or similar qualifications desired but not essential for the right candidate.
- 2+ years of professional experience in investment/corporate banking, corporate finance, asset management, audit, or a similar role;
- Experience in a globally renowned development company or consultancy is an advantage.
- Impeccable command in both English and the local language;
- Strong numerical and problem-solving skills;
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial standards (IFRS);
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
